Yes, it's hard to believe that King County has any cows that aren't large statues somewhere near Pike's Place Market. In fact, dairy families have been farming up on the Enumclaw Plateau for almost a hundred years! This beautiful green space in the shadow of Mount Ranier is the last major area of farmland in the county. As such, King County government has been working to preserve agriculture in the area for years. Farm Power is building a partnership with the County and with dedicated area farmers to ensure that agriculture here remains viable in the face of urban growth and sensitive environmental issues.
